Burr Ridge woman home after being struck by hockey puck at Blackhawks game
BURR RIDGE – A Burr Ridge woman was struck in the face by a hockey puck during the third period of the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup game Wednesday.
Patricia Higgins was taken to Rush University Medical Center, where she received more than a dozen stitches around her forehead, according to media reports.
Higgins was able to return home Thursday.
