Bolingbrook Chamber works to meet a mix of needs

As the president and CEO of the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce, I have to bring value to a range of industries, members and community leaders.

I am proud to announce that our Chamber has several business-development groups that cater to an eclectic mix of needs.

Our Minority Business Exchange, Small Business Coalition, Young Professionals Association and Women in Business groups meet at least once each month.

Participation in these groups is included free with your Chamber membership. These groups meet regularly to discuss best practices and share suggestions with peers.

In addition, we have an industry-exclusive leads group, Bolingbrook Area Networking Group, that meets twice a month. Check the events calendar on our website to see when the next meeting is happening. You always can join us as a guest.

We are proud to invite the Bolingbrook community to the 2013 Taste of Bolingbrook. Mark your calendars from 2 to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 25. The Taste of Bolingbrook will be at The Promenade Bolingbrook, and is presented by Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant.

We will have food vendors, informational vendors, a dedicated kids zone and Marrakesh Express (a Crosby, Stills Nash & Young tribute band).

With the farmers market happening at the same time, this event promises to be good family fun. There will be no entry fee for the Taste, so bring your friends and neighbors out for an entertaining afternoon and evening.

If you haven’t already, we welcome you to see the benefit of Chamber membership and community involvement.

We provide a platform that is second-to-none for you to showcase your business or organization. Call us at 630-226-8420 if you want us to show you some membership options that cater to businesses and organizations of all sizes.

Our Chamber, a nonprofit organization, has about 600 members consisting of commercial, retail, industrial and home-based businesses; medical, governmental and educational entities; as well as churches and other nonprofit service and social organizations.
