Elmhurst seeks proposals for Hahn Street development

Published: Wednesday, June 12, 2013 12:10 p.m. CST

ELMHURST – The City of Elmhurst is looking for proposals for the Hahn Street development project.

The request for proposal is available on the city's website, elmhurst.org, under the "Eye on Elmhurst" heading. According to the request, the city wants the 2.77-acre area to be a mixed-use destination, including a parking deck, retail, residential and public open space.

Tracy Cross and Associates, Inc. recently analyzed the Hahn Street area to determine the best use of the space. The firm's report is available on the Elmhurst city website.

The project would be part of the recently established North York tax increment financing district.

Proposals must be submitted by 5 p.m. Aug. 12 to the city's Administrative Office. Questions should be directed to Assistant City Manager Michael Kopp by calling 630-530-3010.
