ELMHURST – Because of the severe storms, the city of Elmhurst has set up six sandbag assembly locations.

Residents are required to fill their own bags, and each location will have one shovel. A news release from the city recommends residents bring their own shovel in the event that more than one person arrives at a location simultaneously.

Sandbag materials will be available at the Public Works Garage, 985 S. Riverside Drive; the Chicago Stone Quarry, 400 W. First St.; City Hall, 209 N. York St.; Berens Park, 493 N. Oaklawn Ave.; East End Park, 463 E. Schiller St.; and Bryan Middle School, 111 W. Butterfield Road.
