BERWYN – A total of five part-time jobs will soon be open at the Berwyn Public Library.

The Berwyn City Council authorized Library Director Tammy Clausen to advertise the availability of the positions when the Council met June 11.

Two full-time employees had retired after 20 years of service. It was decided to eliminate the two full-time positrons and create four part time positions, Clausen said.

There are two positions in the Circulation Department and two in the Audiovisual department that will be open, according to Clausen. Both are entry level positions that pay $11.75 per hour.

The fifth position is a page position, whose job it is to stack books on shelves. Usually, the job is filled by a student, and pays between $8 to $8.35 per hour.
