BOLINGBROOK – A woman is suing Pelican Harbor Aquatic Park for injuries sustained on a waterslide in June 2012, according to a Bolingbrook Patch report.

The plaintiff, Katherine Flores, alleges that she and her husband rode a double inner tube down a park slide and near the bottom of the ride she was knocked unconscious, according to the Patch report.

"The force of the water was at an excessive speed resulting in (Flores) striking her head and shoulder against the slide, and losing consciousness," according to the lawsuit.

A year later, Flores claims that she still suffers from the unspecified injuries.

Pelican Harbor Aquatic Park is a Bolingbrook Park District site.
