CAROL STREAM – Chicago is nationally-known for its entertaining music festivals, but sometimes the crowds can be overwhelming and the price tag too high for music lovers in the Chicago area.

Windsor Park in Carol Stream has a solution for music fans.

Concerts will be held at Windsor Park, 124 Windsor Park Drive,  during the month of June on the terrace. Weather permitting, music enthusiasts can enjoy all kinds of funky sounds all night long.

This event is for those who are or wish they were Irish. On June 27, in collaboration with the Windsor Park Center for Lifelong Learning’s Performing Arts Taskforce, Tunes of Glory will educate and perform at 6:30 p.m.

Tunes of Glory Pipes and Drums organization comprises of more than 20 active pipers and drummers, and a number of students. The band performs throughout the far western Chicago suburbs in many community events, parades, concerts and private functions.

During the band’s visit, they aim to not only entertain with their lively music but also to teach about Irish culture. The band will educate the public on how the bagpipe works and the history of the instrument.
