Self-taught artist to exhibit at Elmhurst Art Museum

ELMHURST – A new solo exhibit is coming to the Elmhurst Art Museum.

"Gifts of the Muse: Paintings by Peter M. Steeves" will showcase work that combines primitive symbolic, postmodern realism and bits of surrealism. An active member of the Elmhurst Artists' Guild, Steeves is a self-taught artist whose career spans more than 20 years.

The exhibition runs in the EAG Gallery at the museum, 150 S. Cottage Hill Ave., from June 18 through July 19. Members of the public are invited to meet Steeves at a reception June 21 from 6 to 9 p.m.
