LEMONT – District 113A is looking for community members to serve on the Finance and Audit Committee.
The charge to this group is to provide support and act in an advisory role to the Board of Education regarding financial and audit matters. The Committee is not intended to be a decision making committee or to partake in the day-to-day operations or decisions of the Superintendent, Business Manager, Treasurer, or any other district administrators.
The committee will consist of board, staff and community members with an emphasis on community patrons with knowledge and expertise in finance and accounting. The district is looking for input to help with use of public funds and give the community a better understanding of how the school district is funded and how it spends the taxpayers' money.
