Bensenville Fire Protection District receives $65K grant
BENSENVILLE – The Federal Emergency Management Agency has awarded a $65,250 grant to the Bensenville Fire Protection District No. 2 for operations and safety, according to a news release.
The funding will help support and improve the capability of the department to respond to fires and other types of emergencies. Since 2001, the Assistance to Firefighters Grant has provided about $5.25 billion in federal funding to first-responder organizations across the country to help purchase response equipment, personal protective equipment, training and vehicles.
