AAUW to host 55th annual used book sale in Downers Grove Thursday through Saturday

DOWNERS GROVE – The Downers Grove chapter of the American Association of University Women will host its 55th annual used book sale on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week.

The sale will offer about 30,000 sorted, used books including fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, curio, father’s day specials, and "sorters picks."

The AAUW will use all proceeds to fund its Back-to-the-Books Scholarships.

This year's winners are  Ellen Prohl of Downers Grove and Laura Sumlin of Darien.

The used book sale will be at Henry Puffer School, 2220 Haddow Ave., Downers Grove.Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

Bag-sale day is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bags are $8.
