GLENDALE HEIGHTS – The Glendale Heights Police Department announced the June 6 arrest of a Bartlett man who has been charged in connection with a series of residential burglaries.

Amir M. Kawash, 18, of Bartlett was charged with three counts of residential burglary for allegedly burglarizing three homes in Glendale Heights in May.

Police said Kawash burglarized a home May 10 in the first block of East Wrightwood; May 14 in the 100 block of East Drummond; and May 23 in the first block of Lincoln.

Police said all three burglaries occurred during daytime hours and while residents were away from their homes. Entry was gained by force in each of the incidents through doors and windows. Items taken were mostly electronic, as well as some smaller items. Police reported they were able to recover some of those items upon Kawash's arrest.

Kawash was transferred to DuPage County Jail and was held on a bond of $100,000.
