Over the past year, Valley View School District has engaged in the strategic planning process as a means to better clarify our future direction, allocate our resources and enhance our focus on student-centered education.
In addition, the strategic planning process allows us to align our efforts and create a system of increased accountability. Throughout this process, various methods have been used to collect data from our stakeholders.
This input has been used in the development and refinement of our plan. Valley View’s strategic plan aligns with our central belief system for planning and providing services in order to ensure all our students are successful.
Our goals are built on a set of beliefs that include Rigor, Instruction, Assessment and Accountability. As such, Valley View has developed our strategic plan objectives to encompass our beliefs.
We have divided our objectives into four initiative areas. They are Student Learning Opportunities Connect to our Community, Teaching and Learning, Staff Support and Development and Policies, Procedures, Finances and Facilities.
Valley View holds to the belief that all students can learn and achieve high standards. When the teaching and learning process is rigorous, engaging and focused on standards; it effectively can be assessed.
Outcomes tied to data-driven decision making provide for development of students, staff, administration and our community. Fiscally-responsible decisions aligned to needs and resources guide the district to develop effective management practices.
The district will continue to strengthen implementation of initiatives that enhance the learning of our diverse student body while maintaining a continuous improvement cycle to ensure student success aligned to research based best practices.
Our partnership, with all stakeholders, in achieving the objectives is critical to the success of all students in Valley View School District. As such, we will continue to develop and refine our outcomes to reflect the changes in our community, fiscal resources and the national movement to define core learning standards.
It is with great excitement we share Valley View School District 365U’s first ever strategic plan. To view the community strategic plan, visit vvsd.org.
