Bolingbrook's Sramek, Samuel set to continue baseball careers at UW-Parkside
After helping build Raiders' program, duo hopes to do same for fledging Rangers program
BOLINGBROOK – Junior year of high school is big for athletes in terms of getting noticed by college programs.
Nick Sramek had to wait a little bit longer to get noticed, but with a solid senior season for Bolingbrook, he earned a scholarship to play at Division II University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He signed his letter of intent to play there in a ceremony Thursday at Bolingbrook High School.
“It’s awesome,” Sramek said. “It’s the best feeling ever, knowing that I’ve got somewhere to go and I can continue doing what I love.”
