NAPERVILLE – Alison Cerny's goal less than three minutes into the second half carried Hinsdale Central's girls soccer team to its first Class 3A state title game since the 2009 championship team.

Madeline Engelking assisted on the goal as the Red Devils (17-3-3) beat Barrington 1-0 on Friday at North Central College. Central goalie Riley Glenn recorded six saves to post the shutout.

Defending state champ Naperville North (21-0-2) awaits in the final, which kicks off at 7 p.m. Saturday. The undefeated Huskies were 2-0 semifinal winners against Buffalo Grove.

The two teams already met in Hinsdale Central's second game of the season, a 1-1 draw March 16. They will finally have to determine a winner Saturday night.
