Man offers girl candy to get in his car in La Grange

LA GRANGE – A man in his 40s approached a teenage girl and offered her candy from his vehicle at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Ashland and Cossitt avenues, La Grange Police said just before 4 p.m. The girl did not approach the vehicle. 

Police issued a community alert for the incident, describing the man as African American, bald and in his 40s. He was last seen driving a small, black four-door vehicle with silver trim around the trunk lid and windows westbound toward La Grange Road. Police ask anyone who has more information or sees a vehicle with a matching description to call them at 708-579-2333.
