Published: Friday, May 31, 2013 6:03 p.m. CDT

LOMBARD – Residents are invited to come out to Four Seasons Park for the Lombard Park District's annual fishing derby from 8 a.m. to noon June 8.

The event is open to all ages and prizes will be awarded to fishermen with the biggest and smallest fish, and the person who catches the most. Participants should bring their own poles, bait and buckets to hold live fish.

All state codes apply, but the event falls on Illinois Free Fishing Day, so participants do not need fishing licenses.

Registration must be completed by Wednesday and is $10 for residents. For more information, call 630-620-7322 or visit lombardparks.com.
