LOMBARD – One man was charged with unlawful practice of dentistry last week after Lombard police discovered that he allegedly was allowing unlicensed dentistry work to be performed at a local business.

Salvador Galindo, 63, of 13145 Meadow Hill Lane, Lemont, was charged May 22 at Galindo Dental Lab, 660 E. Roosevelt Road, as part of an ongoing investigation by police and state agencies, said Lombard Deputy Police Chief Pat Rollins.

Rollins said the investigation was initiated after a woman came to the police station to make a complaint on the practice. Her teenager had gone to the practice to have teeth pulled for orthodontia work and the wrong teeth were removed.

Galindo was not practicing unlicensed dentistry, but he allegedly was allowing others to practice unlicensed at the business, Rollins said.

This is an ongoing investigation and more charges will likely be filed at a later date, he added.
