6 juveniles charged with robbery of woman in Cicero

CICERO – Six juveniles from Chicago were charged with the robbery of a woman in the 4600 block of West 19th Street at 8:38 p.m. May 27.

The victim was standing in front of a home in the block when she was approached by six male juveniles. One of the offenders walked up behind the victim and began to strangle her from behind while a second offender kicked her legs from under her knocking her to the ground. The offenders then fought to get her wallet from her and and fled toward Chicago.

All six juvenile subjects were apprehended in the 2000 block of South Kildare in Chicago and eventually charged with robbery.

The victim complained of minor pain in the neck and right leg.
