CHARLESTON – St. Ignatius senior and La Grange Park resident Jack Keelan left the Class 3A boys track and field state championships at Eastern Illinois University with two titles on Saturday.
Keelan, who won state cross country in the fall, won both the 1,600-meter run and the 3,200 to finish the school year with a trio of state titles.
Keelan finished the 3,200 in 8:57.61 to finish ahead of O'Fallon's Alex Riba, who ran a time of 8:59.37.
In the 1,600, Keelan crossed the finish line in 4:12.11 to win that race by over a second.
By scoring 20 points in the team standings, Keelan helped the Wolfpack take third in the team standings.
