High-speed chase on I-55 ends in Bolingbrook Thursday night

Two suspects were involved in an armed robbery and car chase that ended near the intersection of Weber Road and Boughton Road Thursday night.

BOLINGBROOK – Two suspects were arrested following an alleged armed robbery in Hodgkins that led to a car chase that ended in Bolingbrook around 7:10 p.m. Thursday, according to the Bolingbrook Police Department.

Illinois State Police located the car and chased the suspects southbound on I-55, according to Bolingbrook Police Lt. Mike Rompa, before they exited the highway in Bolingbrook.

The car then crashed near the intersection of Weber Road and Boughton Road and the suspects fled on foot, Rompa said

Illinois State Police, the Hodgkins Police and Bolingbrook Police departments led a joint investigation. State police arrested one suspect and Bolingbrook cops arrested the other suspect, who was hiding in a dumpster at Chili's, 1275 W. Boughton Road, Rompa said.

Hodgkins police then took both suspects into custody.
