Gordon Biersch tapping to raise funds for Special Olympics

BOLINGBROOK – Gordon Biersch Brewery will host a summer tapping event Tuesday, and part of the generated proceeds will benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Bolingbrook's Gordon Biersh brewers will tap the SommerBrau, a Kolsch style, light bodied beer native Cologne, Germany.

The event will raise funds for Law Enforcement Torch Run in which local cops, together with Special Olympic athletes, partake in a relay, spreading awareness for Special Olympics.

The three-hour benefit will also include DJ entertainment, a beer tent, a bags tournament, and prize giveaways.
