WHEATON – DuPage County Assistant State's Attorney Joe Ruggiero has asked that Jacob Nodarse's sentencing be delayed until after Johnny Borizov has been sentenced.

Nodarse appeared for a status hearing Thursday at the DuPage County Courthouse, where Ruggiero said Nodarse may testify as well in Borizov's sentencing hearing.

Borizov, 31, of Willow Springs, was convicted on May 14 of three counts of first-degree murder and one count of solicitation of murder in orchestrating the killings of three members of the Kramer family at their Darien home in 2010.

Borizov was believed to have convinced his mentally ill friend, 26-year-old Nodarse of Countryside, to carry out the murders. He will appear in court June 27 for the filing of post-trial motions.

Nodarse is facing 45 years to life in prison, while Borizov could face life in prison. Nodarse may next appear in court June 13 for another status hearing.
