ELMHURST– Adults and seniors are invited to tour the Cuneo Mansion and Gardens in Vernon Hills with the Elmhurst Park District on June 20.

The trip will illustrate how people lived in the 100-acre estate with a behind-the-scenes look at the fine art, furnishings and personal items still in the home. Tourists also will view the property's gardens before traveling to historic downtown Libertyville, where they'll have time to explore.

The day trip is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The tour and transportation are included in a $39 resident fee and $44 non-resident fee.

Note that the mansion does not have air conditioning. Call 630-993-8193 by Wednesday to register.
