ROSELLE – RIM logistics, a privately owned domestic and international logistics company with 250 employees headquartered in Roselle, has been honored with a 2013 President’s “E” Award for export service.

The company received the award in recognition of its continuing support of export growth in the U.S. business community.

Sheila Serafin, vice president of Global Accounts, and Matilda Vazquez, export compliance manager, traveled to Washington, D.C. to accept the award on behalf of the company on May 20.

RIM logistics was one of 57 U.S. companies to receive the award this year.

“We are thrilled to bring home this prestigious award from the Department of Commerce,” said Robert J. Mueller, chairman and CEO. “RIM logistics is dedicated to the growth of U.S. exports and helps each of our clients seamlessly send their products overseas.”

The “E” Award dates back to World War II when “E Pennants” were given to war plants in recognition of the production excellence. The award was revived by President John F. Kennedy to give recognition to America’s exporters in 1961.
