ELMHURST – The City of Elmhurst will host public meetings to present and discuss storm mitigation projects for specific sites on May 29, May 30 and June 6.

City Manager Jim Grabowski and Christopher Burke Engineering, Ltd. presented the most up-to-date renderings of eight proposed sites during a City Council meeting this month. These are all conceptual drafts as they employ land owned by either the Elmhurst Park District or School District 205.

The May 29 open house will focus on southwest Elmhurst, specifically the York Commons Park, Bryan Middle School, Madison School and Jackson School projects.

The May 30 presentation will include storm mitigation projects at Pioneer Park, Wild Meadow Trace and Golden Meadows Park.

The June 6 open house will discuss the East End Park storm mitigation project.

All open houses run from 6 to 8 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 209 N. York St., with presentations at both 6 and 7 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend and ask questions about the projects.
