Two unlocked cars targeted by burglars last week

WHEATON – A pair of burglaries were reported in Wheaton during the week of May 13 to May 19, according to the Wheaton Police Department.

• A burglary was reported between the hours of 8 p.m. on May 19 and 9 a.m. on May 20 on the 1600 block of Woodcutter Lane. An unknown person stole change from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked.

• An unlocked 2006 Blue Chevrolet Impala was entered between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on May 17 at the 400 block of W. Front Street and a handicapped placard was taken.

Information in Police Reports is obtained from the Wheaton Police Department. Individuals listed in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court.
