VILLA PARK – Five members of the community were presented with the Community Builders Award by the Villa Park Masonic Lodge last week.

This award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the community. It’s the highest honor that a masonic lodge can present to a non-mason.

This year’s recipients were: Janet Gorman, human resources manager for the village; Kevin Conner, juvenile officer with the Villa Park Police Department; Rich Salerno, assistant public works engineer for the village; Rich Keehner, village manager; and Kelly Shaner, owner of Cakes by Kelly.

The awards were given during a special dinner and ceremony on May 16 at the Villa Park Masonic Lodge, 26 W. Central Blvd.
