Valley View announces free summer community breakfast and lunch program

Valley View School District is introducing a Summer Food Service Program, providing a free breakfast and lunch to any child under the age of 18.

Free breakfast will be offered 8:40 a.m. to 9 a.m. June 10 through July 3 and July 8 through Aug. 2 and free lunch from 11:40 a.m. to noon at Bolingbrook's B.J. Ward Elementary School, Jamie McGee Elementary School, and Pioneer Elementary School, and Romeoville's Hermansen Elementary School, and R.C. Hill Elementary School.

Also, free breakfast but no lunch will be offered 8:40 a.m. to 9 a.m. June 10 through July 3 at Bolingbrook's Brooks Middle School and Romeoville's Valley View Early Childhood Center.

Romeoville High School will host a free breakfast 7:40 a.m. to 8 a.m. June 10 through June 28 and July 8 through July 26.

Anyone wishing to partake in the summer meal program must go to the main office at any of the sites during the designated hours. the meal must then be eaten in the main office conference room, per Illinois State Board of Education regulation.
