State police cars block off 41st Street from Main Street.

DOWNERS GROVE – A Downers Grove Police response in the 4200 block of Forest Avenue Monday afternoon was nothing more than a false alarm, police said.

Police blocked off Havens Court, Forest Avenue and 41st Street near Main Street and Ogden Avenue Monday afternoon when wind blew through an open residential window and set off a security alarm, according to police.

Police said the responding officer believed he heard someone in the home and called for more officers. No one was found in the residence and nothing is believed to be missing.

The call came in around 12:45 p.m. and was resolved after 2 p.m.
