City to close streets for Memorial Day parade and ceremony
WHEATON – City Hall has announced a series of road closures and traffic pattern changes to accomodate for the city's May 27 Memorial Day parade and ceremony, according to a press release.
The parade begins at Memorial Park and proceeds west on Wesley Street and south on West Street before ending at the Wheaton Cemetary. In addition, the Wheaton Police Department and the Milton Township Highway Department will make Warrenville Road from Wheaton Cemetary at Merrill Drive and Warrenville Road to Orchard Road one-way southbound.
The event begins at 10 a.m., and the police department believes that the alterations will last from about 9:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.
