Adventist Hinsdale Hospital nursing award winner recognized for outstanding care

HINSDALE – Adventist Hinsdale Hospital registered nurse Pam Reetz has been recognized in the Nursing Excellence Awards, winning the inpatient clinical nursing category for the Chicago region.

Reetz's win was announced May 10. recognizes outstanding nurses in six different categories, and nurses recognized in the inpatient clinical nursing category demonstrate superior clinical nursing knowledge and expert skills, applying them in ways that affect quality of care and improve patient care outcomes in the inpatient clinical setting, according to a news release.

Reetz, who has spent 23 years working at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, is the clinical coordinator in the hospital's Progressive Care Unit. As such, she manages as many as 35 patients and the nursing and ancillary staff on the unit daily.
