ELMHURST – A Franklin Park man has been charged with unlawful videotaping after he allegedly used his cellphone video camera to record women in a bathroom at Elmhurst Hospital.

A judge set bond for Salvador Perez, 49, at $150,000 on Saturday.

The DuPage County State's Attorney's Office said Perez placed his cellphone under a sink in the bathroom on Friday and positioned it so it would capture video of the toilet area. Prosecutors said he activated the record function and left the area.

Authorities were alerted when a woman using the bathroom saw the phone drop from under the sink.

If he posts bond, Perez will be required to wear a GPS monitoring device, according to news reports.
