Stolen Glen Ellyn car recovered in Chicago

GLEN ELLYN – A car that was reported stolen in Glen Ellyn in early May was later recovered in Chicago and returned to its owner, Glen Ellyn Deputy Police Chief Bill Holmer said.

The 2003 Chevy Cavalier was reportedly stolen between 9:30 p.m. May 4 and 8 a.m. May 5 while parked on the street in the 500 block of Newton Avenue, according to police reports. The car was unlocked at the time.

The Glen Ellyn Police Department was notified by Chicago police that the car was found May 7 on Michigan Avenue in the city, Holmer said.
