Pair of runs to close down Wheaton streets over the weekend

WHEATON – Two separate races will close down roads around Wheaton this weekend, according to City Hall.

The Wiesbrook School Tiger Trot on Saturday, May 18 and the Briar Glen 3K Bulldog Run/Walk on Sunday, May 19 will force streets to close to traffic for safety reasons. The following streets will be affected:

Tiger Trot (7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.)

• Durfee Rd., between Wiesbrook Rd. & Arrowhead Dr.

• Arrowhead Dr., between Durfee Rd. & Menomini Dr.

• Menomini Dr., between Arrowhead Dr. & Seneca Dr.

• Seneca Dr., between Menomini Dr. & Durfee Rd.

• Seneca Dr., between Legends Dr. & Durfee Rd.

• Tomahawk Dr.: entire Tomahawk Dr.

• Burning Trail, between Durfee Rd. & Embden Ln

• Embden Ln., between Burning Trail & Seneca Dr.

Bulldog Run/Walk (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)

• Brentwood Ln., between Cambridge Ln. & Brentwood Ln. East

• Brentwood Ln. East, between Brentwood Ln. & Windsor Dr.

• Windsor Dr., between Brentwood Ln. East & Nottingham Ln.

• Sheffield Ln. & Cheshire Ln.: Closed entirely

• Nottingham Ln., between Windsor & Oxford Ln.

• Oxford Ln., between Nottingham Ln. and Cambridge Ln.

Uniformed police officers will be present for both events directing traffic.
