Gallery 200 in West Chicago celebrates summer through mixed media exhibit

WEST CHICAGO – Gallery 200 in West Chicago will kick off the summer season in June with the artwork of 10 gallery member artists in the Featured Artist Show SUMMER.

The show will feature a variety of different media, but all work will reflect the theme of summer.

SUMMER will run from June 6 through 30 and include mixed media byBuddy Plumlee, Mandy Rakow and Deb Donnelly; water color by Lou Jacobson and Kristine Plum; acrylic painting by Lew Achenbach; soft pastel by Heide Morris; collage by Annie Phillips; pencil and prints by Fredericka Howard, and books and papers by Cheryl Mahowald.

An opening reception for the exhibit will be held from 6 until 9 p.m. June 7. The event will include light refreshments and music by featured artist Mandy Rakow.

Gallery 200 is open from noon until 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from noon until 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It is located at 200 Main St. in West Chicago.
