Terrace View Pond improvements to be discussed

Published: Thursday, May 16, 2013 3:03 p.m. CST

LOMBARD – About five weeks ago, Lombard's Terrace View Pond had overflowed its banks and spilled into the back yards, font yards and basements of neighbors when six inches of water poured on the town.

Next week, the village's Public Works Department will host a special meeting to educate community members about planned improvements to Terrace View Pond. These improvements were being coordinated before the April 18 flood event.

All community members are invited to attend the meeting at 7 p.m. May 23 in the Village Hall Board Room, 255 E. Wilson Ave., Lombard. A presentation will be given that includes information about the project's design and construction schedule. There also will be an opportunity for residents to ask questions about the project.

The presentation also will be available on the village's website, villageoflombard.org, under the "Quick Links" tab.
