Students from schools in Carol Stream enjoyed a virtual tour of the NBC weather studio recently as part of a new district-wide program.

On May 10, a group of third-grade students from Western Trails, Roy DeShane, Cloverdale and Carol Stream elementary schools spent time with NBC Meteorologist Andy Avalos on a virtual field trip to the NBC studio and weather station. Avalos showed students around via an iPad and showed students the tools he uses to predict the weather as they watched on a projector screen. The field trip was part of District 93’s 1:1 Personalized Learning program.
