WEST CHICAGO – The West Chicago Park District will receive $118,800 to develop the Dyer Nature Area within Reed-Keppler Park on West National Street through a state grant program, according to a news release from the Office of the Governor.
Governor Pat Quinn announced Saturday that the state will invest $15.3 million in local park projects across Illinois, including $6.4 million for projects in Cook and DuPage counties.
The funding will be provided through the state’s Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development program (OSLAD), which seeks to expand outdoor recreation and open space in Illinois communities.
