HINSDALE – Consumers were able to "Shop for Support" on May 8 as Whole Foods Market donated 5 percent of the total sales for the day to Wellness House in Hinsdale.
This gesture resulted in a donation of $4,123, which will be used to support programs for cancer patients and their families that are offered at no cost to anyone in need.
Throughout the year, Wellness House offers a variety of nutritional programs and cooking classes that are sponsored in part by Whole Foods Market, according to a news release. The Community Support Day enables Wellness House to purchase food and organic products to support cooking classes for the entire year.
