ELMHURST – Elmhurst Memorial Hospital's Wildflower Café has been awarded the second honorable mention for Facility Design Project of the year by the editors at Foodservice Equipment and Supplies magazine.

According to a news release, the café also was the only healthcare facility to receive this award.

Although it was judged on criteria such as design, decor and efficiency, the Wildflower Café offers a variety of dining options including the Main Street Deli, Prairie Green Salad Bar, Carvers, Grill-werks and Delectable's. Patients are able to order food from a call center in the lower-level kitchen, similar to hotel-style room service.

Located on the first floor of Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, Elmhurst, the Wildflower Café is open Mondays through Fridays from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, it's open from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
