CUSD 200 expects $300K in transportation savings
WHEATON – Wheaton Warrenville Community Unit School District 200 expects to save about $300,000 annually thanks to its contract with Illinois Central, the district’s new primary transportation provider, according to a news release from the district.
Last winter, CUSD 200 requested bids for regular in-district, special education in-district and special education out-of-district transportation services, and staff reviewed the bid submissions, according to the release.
The Board of Education approved the contract April 10 after staff recommended Illinois Central as the provider for regular and special education in-district transportation. In addition to a contract with llinois Central, the board also approved Septran, Inc., as the provider for special education out-of-district transportation.
