Wheaton lawn watering restrictions start this week

Starting Wednesday, residents of Wheaton will have to begin watching their water usage.

On May 15, the city will enact restrictions for when residents can – and cannot – water their lawns during the summer months.

Those whose street addresses end in odd numbers will be allowed to water their lawns on odd-numbered days, and those with even numbers can only water on even-numbered days. Using sprinklers will be prohibited between noon and 6 p.m. The restrictions will be in place until Sept. 15.
