Wheaton lawn watering restrictions start this week

Published: Sunday, May 12, 2013 9:00 a.m. CDT

Starting Wednesday, residents of Wheaton will have to begin watching their water usage.

On May 15, the city will enact restrictions for when residents can – and cannot – water their lawns during the summer months.

Those whose street addresses end in odd numbers will be allowed to water their lawns on odd-numbered days, and those with even numbers can only water on even-numbered days. Using sprinklers will be prohibited between noon and 6 p.m. The restrictions will be in place until Sept. 15.
