Published: Friday, May 10, 2013 1:01 p.m. CDT

VILLA PARK – The Village of Villa Park has completed and submitted damage assessments for the categories of individual assistance for homeowners, renters and business owners and public assistance for governmental entities.

Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency spent last week touring DuPage County, conducting interviews and completing field visits.

Now, Villa Park and all of DuPage County is waiting to hear if it will be included in a Presidential Disaster Declaration. If this happens, assistance opportunities for individuals and government entities may be available.

For updates on the status of the request, visit ProtectDuPage.org or check on Facebook at facebook.com/protectdupage.
