Grey Core Memorial Day Carnival returns to Bolingbrook

BOLINGBROOK – The 22nd annual Bolingbrook Grey Core Memorial Day Weekend Carnival will run May 23 through May 27 at Village Hall.

Featuring games, rides, food and other carnival attractions, the annual carnival is hosted by nonprofit community organization Bolingbrook Grey Core, which recently announced that the generated proceeds will finance the construction of a new James Meyer Park picnic shelter.

Grey Core constructed two picnic shelters at Meyer Park from funds raised during previous Bolingbrook carnivals. Construction of the third picnic shelter is expected to be completed by spring 2014.

Carnival admittance is free and ride tickets can be purchased for $1 each, with discounts available when purchasing a sheet of 44 tickets.

The carnival will be open 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, May 24, 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26, and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, May 27.

There will also be unlimited ride specials available for $20 per person during the following days/times: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, May 27.

Bolingbrook Village Hall is located at 375 W. Briarcliff Road.
