Cops: Bolingbrook man arrested for leaving young children outside, unsupervised

BOLINGBROOK – A Bolingbrook man was charged with endangering the life of a child after leaving a 4-year-old and a 5-year-old outside and unsupervised for about two hours, according to the Bolingbrook Police Department.

Charles Asamnoah, 55, 297 Pueblo Drive, Bolingbrook was charged with endangering life of a child about 7:38 pm. April 24, according to police.

Bolingbrook police responded to a call reporting two children had been outside for about two hours without any adult supervision, according to Lt. Mike Rompa.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the children reside at 297 Pueblo Drive and their father had left for work. He returned home while officers were on scene, Rompa said. 

The Department of Children and Family Services was notified and the children were temporarily placed.
