Annual benefit to mark 20th anniversary of Riverside Arts Center

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Riverside Arts Center will hold its annual benefit Saturday.

RIVERSIDE – Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Riverside Arts Center will hold its annual fundraiser from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the St. Mary Parish Center, 126 Herrick Road.

The theme of this year’s benefit is Prom-O-Rama. Those planning on attending the event are encouraged (but not required) to come in prom attire as the evening will be a prom for adults. The fundraiser is each year in conjunction with the Riverside Arts Weekend event held in Guthrie Park.

Advance tickets cost $65 for RAC members and $75 for nonmembers. Attendees can reserve a table for eight for $500. Tickets will cost $10 more at the door.

Registration will include a buffet dinner, dessert, drinks, dancing, photo booth and a silent auction. Items in the silent auction are available for preview and early bidding online at www.32auctions.com/PROMORAMA. All work featured will be on view at Prom-O-Rama. Additional items will be available Saturday.

Since 1993, the RAC has been providing Riverside, its surrounding suburbs and the city of Chicago with exhibitions, arts classes and special events. The RAC is in the heart of historic Riverside. It includes the Freeark Contemporary Art Gallery and a variety of studio space, including a renowned clay studio that has a range of electric, raku and stoneware kilns.
