Bob Daly, Willowbrook's athletic director, and his son, Ryan, showed their support for St. Baldrick's Foundation by getting their heads shaved during a fundraising event at Willowbrook High School on April 28.

VILLA PARK – To help raise money for childhood cancer research, Zac Prosek, a senior at Willowbrook High School, organized an event at the high school last month that raised money for the organization.

Prosek and his friends recruited 30 people to have their heads shaved as a way to raise money for St. Baldrick's and to show their support for the organization. About 20 students participated, along with school leaders Bob Daly, athletic director; Tom Cantlin, assistant principal; and Dan Krause, principal.

The event also included a bake sale, raffle prizes and donated food from local restaurants. In all, $6,300 was raised for St. Baldrick's.

Prosek already has plans to make next year's event more successful.
