Published: Thursday, May 9, 2013 4:01 p.m. CDT

LOMBARD – A body that was removed from Westmore Woods this week is the victim of what appears to be a suicide, said Lombard Deputy Police Chief Pat Rollins.

Police received a call at 11:11 a.m. Tuesday after someone saw a man bleeding in the woods. Emergency crews responded and removed the body.

Rollins said police believe this incident was intentional and are not viewing it as a public safety threat.

The victim is described as a male, non-Lombard resident in his 20s.
