CICERO – An early morning shooting in Cicero today left two teenagers with non-life threatening injuries, police reported.

Police reported that two men, ages 16 and 19, were walking by an alley near west 23rd Street and south 54th Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. and were shot at by a person who appeared out of a gangway near the alley.

Police said six shots were fired, striking one teen in the buttocks and the other in his right leg and foot. Police said both injuries were non-life threatening.

Both teens were admitted gangmembers, police said, and the shooting is being investigated as a gang related incident. No evidence was left at the scene and both teens were uncooperative with police.
